We were praying the covid restrictions for the Bahamas would be lifted before the wedding weekend, but it just didn’t happen for us. We appreciate everyone going through this process for us! Please go to website listed above to apply for your Bahamas travel visa. Please do not wait until the last minute to do the tests because it does take a little time for the tests to be approved. They are 40$ a person. You must get a covid test within 72 hours of travel. You cannot add a trip until you are within that 72-hour window. If you are vaccinated, you only need a rapid test which you can get at any walk-in clinic. If you are not vaccinated, you must get a PCR test. You will upload the test results to the website, and you will receive a QR code usually in less than 24 hours. You will need to show this QR code at the airport to depart. You will also need your passport and flight info to fill out the visa for you and your kids. Children under 2 do not need a covid test. Children 2-11 years have the option to have a rapid test done according to the website.
You will need to get tested again leaving the Bahamas to go back to the US. Both the Ocean Club and Atlantis do this for free. Just ask the front desk where the testing room is located. You will take these results that are emailed to you, and show them to the ticket counter at the airport when you check-in.
Helpful tips:
-Covid test needed 72 hours prior to travel to get your Bahamas travel visa
-Arrival port (for visa) in the Bahamas is Lynden Pindling
-Saturday Rehearsal Dinner is wedding whites attire (white dresses, shirts, pants). Everyone is invited to the Rehearsal Dinner.
-Monday brunch time has been changed and is now from 10am-12pm. We apologize if this later time excludes anyone.
-Also, we have very short reception dance that we can all do after our first dance as husband and wife. We will send a video of the steps and music! You are welcome to learn it if you would like to! No pressure! We just thought it could be fun!
